We hope you enjoy seeing all of the fun we have while learning!
Santa paid a special visit to 2nd grade and gave each student their own pack of pencils! They were specially crafted in the North Pole.
Students enjoyed showing what they learned about government by creating a mural of "steps to citizenship."
This year we raised $13,000 for the Science Lab at our school's 2nd annual Walkathon.
More fun from our Christmas party.
This week we learned about specialization and assembly lines. Students practiced by pretending they were workers at a crayola factory. They had to empty a box of markers and reassemble them in the same order. Every person had a specialized job only they could do. Being on a time limit explain these priceless expressions, but they had a blast!
The pencil trick! Students were challenged to balance a pencil on a popsicle stick using a wire and clothespins as counterweights. They did fantastic!
More balance fun! Students investigated how to make mobiles using counterweights, and came up with some really unique ways to make them!
Choosing to read a book to the class, or the principal, is just one of the many prizes you can choose out of the prize box in 2nd grade :)
Holy Confession! This week students practiced what it would be like to go inside a confessional to have your sins heard by a priest. They will be receiving their first penance very soon!
Black History Month performance
some of our actors and actresses
the faces that make loving 2nd grade so easy!
Students made STEM leprechaun traps and were extremely creative! So proud of this bunch of dynamic learners. I hope next year those leprechauns don't get away, again!
Congrats to our first genius of the year!
